Meet Your Trainer

Hi, I’m Janine Kelly, and I’ll be your guide on this journey into sustainable early learning. Across my qualifications I engaged in countless workshops and units on how to authentically connect children with sustainability. With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education, I’m deeply passionate about empowering young minds to make a positive impact on our planet. Throughout my career I’ve led projects that bring sustainability to life — from supporting children to become “Wildlife Warriors,” to helping build natural habitats in centres for local animals, and embedding eco-friendly practices into everyday learning. One of the highlights of my practice was taking children into the local community garden to explore composting — an experience that showed me just how powerful real, hands-on sustainability can be for young learners. This course brings together those experiences and insights to give you practical tools, inspiring strategies, and the confidence to create meaningful change in your own setting. Together, we’ll take steps toward a greener tomorrow, starting with the small choices that make a big difference.
